Antenna T.V. works in Thousand Oaks. I did it you can too!
![]() Antennas Direct Clearstream2V
In an effort to save some bucks we decided to fire Dish and go with an antenna. I called a company that installs them and they quoted me $300-$500. I decided to go it alone. After hours of research I purchased an Antennas Direct Clearstream2V. So far we have spent about $140. I took down the dish and put a 10ft antenna mast I purchased at Lowe's, in the existing dish mount. For some reason Dish didn't want any of these parts back, just the receiver. Pointing east towards Mt Wilson 46 miles away, I am getting 88 channels. Pointing it North West towards Santa Paula I am getting 35 channels, a few all the way from Bakersfield. The amazing thing is all the major network channels are in HD. Dish charges at least $20 more a month to get anything in HD. The down side to this is no ESPN, FSC, Cartoon Network etc. I can stream these on my MAC and use our LCD tv as a monitor to varied levels of success. I am currently getting ESPN, SKY SPORTS and BBC streaming with very good results. I will let you in on the website I use to stream sports. This site is awesome they have practically every sporting event world wide live. Once you kill all the pop ups Its great! I also have a ROKU and a Netflix account to cover cartoons for the kids and chick flicks for the wife. Ultimately I now get more viewing options than the dish for $8 a month.
